Leverage

One of the most powerful concepts I have learn’t from the top mentors I have worked with,  to create financial freedom in my life I was going to require leverage.

Truly understanding this concept is what separates the poor and the middle class from the wealthy.

The poor will learn how to use enough leverage just to get by. The middle class will wait until they can look at their life and say “Yes, I think I’m comfortable” and then stop adding leverage to their lives.  But the wealthy just keep adding more and more leverage throughout their whole lives to create more and more wealth. Wealthy people understand the fact that creating wealth involves leveraging their time and mone.

This why they have a lot of poor and middle class people working for them.

So what is leverage, really?

Well, if you have a look in Thesaurus it  says definition of LEVERAGE is: influence, power, force, control, pull, weight.

To put it simply, leverage is doing more and more with less and less of : time, effort, energy, worry or less investment?

To create more of : income, results, value, free time?

If you’re currently trading your time for money, you can only exchange about 8 to 12 hours a day and only earn so much (and you’re literally selling your life).

If you can LEVERAGE time and create or set up  “systems” that run on their own, there’s virtually no limit to how much you can earn. (Internet Marketing is a good example!)

leverage

So… the true secret to living an abundant life is not to get a great job , but to learn how to leverage your life. This has obviously been made more and more possible by having the World Wide Web And Internet at our fingertips…

Now there are certain forms of leverage that most people have absolutely no clue about. These are only used by a very small majority of every society who use it to live a life of abundance.

The funny thing is, the ones that don’t know about this kind of leverage are taught to believe that these things are “too risky”! Ironically, that’s exactly why they never become wealthy themselves.

So down to business – how do you leverage Time?

Well, one of the most popular ways is to become a business owner – this is someone who leverages his time by having people work for him, and/or owns a network marketing business where they earn a percentage from other people’s efforts (their downline) or create websites that direct consumers to the products they are looking for.

The other way is to be an Investor – someone who uses money as leverage.

How do you leverage Money?

You let other people’s money work for you.

* Your bank makes money with your money

* Your insurance company makes money with your money

* Your mortgage company makes money with your money

Whichever way you decide, understanding the concept of Leverage will set you up and start you on your journey to Income, Lifestyle & Freedom!

Starting a business takes time and patience

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

There are going to be so many business ideas that will come to mind, however, you will want to let go of all the silly ones and focus on the ones that you are passionate about and can make into reality. You will want to begin to build your own business slowly. It is important for you to go slow so that you can nurture it and help to succeed. Some companies fail because they grow too fast and then they can’t deal with the rapid change. You have to make a good start so that you are able to enjoy you time and your enjoy and see your company take off and make some real profits.

When it comes to getting started, you don’t want to take on a lot of work at once before you are able to learn how to manage the workload. There is a certain element of supply and demand in every business, so be careful to try to balance this aspect of your company. If your community, for example, has no child care program and many working parents, you can consider providing a baby-sitting service. However, although 20 mothers may call you about potential openings, you cannot closely and safely provide care for 20 or more children every day, at least not if you are the sole owner with no employees. Although you will really want to make as much money as possible, you will want to make sure that you do not lower the quality standards of your work. Once you are able to have a good customer base you can then raise the prices and create your supply and demand curves.

You will want to make sure that you have thought everything through before you open the doors to the business. Do lot of research on your customers and your competition in order to ensure your business will run smoothly. You may feel rushed for time, but by building your ideas slowly and therefore more thoroughly, your business is more likely to succeed. It may seem difficult, but it takes money to make money. You will want to make sure that you pay close attention to all of the details of the business and products or services. This is important so that your business can make a great start..

Lastly, you should think about the amount of money that you spend to start the business. You will only want to purchase things that you need right away. You will want to make sure that you have the room to store it all and that you start off on a small scale. You don’t want to get too far ahead in the investments that you are making. You will want to consider your costs before you start the business. You should always begin small and then slowly build the business up. You will find that you can create a strong foundation for the business when you go slowly and it’s hard to fail with strong foundation.

starting small business

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

When it comes to starting a small business you will find that it can be frustrating and difficult. You will also see that there are many negative statistics that will bring you and the experience of starting your own business. You will want to think about the new business as a long term investment. It may take a few years for you to turn it into a profit making machine. You will want to stay positive about the company by learning how you can reduce the stress that your body and mind endures through the day, but being positive will allow you to succeed. There are tons of things that you can do to stay positive about the business, but you will also want to take some steps in finding things about the business that you like to keep you optimistic.

First, think positively even when you are certain you will be wrong. Selling your crafts at a local market? You should set an optimistic goal for yourself to reach every day or by the end of the week. you set your goals high, you will push yourself harder to achieve these goals. You will want to keep yourself focused on the big picture. It is important to be realistic, but also important to see that little failures do not necessarily have to add up to big failures.

Take a positive attitude when you deal with others.  By being positive, you encourage your employees to work hard towards the goals of the company. Nobody wants to work on a project that the leader doesn’t believe will succeed! The same goes for all the clients and customers of the business. Be enthusiastic about your product or service and try to interact with customers as though they have already paid for your services. It is still very important for you to not only put on the happy face, but also to believe in the possibility of your hard work and business.

You will also want to make sure that you push yourself and the company forward. Even if your company does not achieve all of its goals within the first year, you still can work on producing higher profits and better customer relations. Where your business may fail in one area it may succeed in another. Remember that you want your company as a whole to move forward. Think positive when you are starting a business so that you don’t fund yourself at a crossroad where you might have to choose to give up all your dreams.

When and if you do have set backs then you should approach them like it is a learning tool and not some horrible thing. You don’t want to get upset or angry, but take it and learn from it. You will want to keep in mind that every new business has failures when they are first new, but if you are able to learn from the mistakes, you’ll be able to see the big picture. You will need to stay optimistic about the company and your future with the company.

Deciding to start a business

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

For those who long to be their own boss and make some profits you will find that there are tons of ideas that you can come up with to focus on the business on and market. You will be able to find the best course of action to starting your own business. You will find that there are many perks like being your own boss, making your own schedule, planning your own strategies, and you’ll be able to keep all the profits. There are plenty of people who you will meet and new exciting adventures and people. You will find that there are many important things to consider when you are writing your business plan. You will want to see if your business ideas are something that you can pursue. You will find that there are customers, other businesses, and even the demands of your own life that will determine if a business is right for you.

First, don’t be afraid to ask the general public (in the form of friends, family members, and neighbors) what they think about your idea. If there is resounding uncertainty, then you may want to rethink your plan. Also, you will want to ask yourself how much you think others will pay for your services or products or how often you will need the services. This will help you with your prices and focus on the demand part of the company. This can help you learn if it is financially feasible.

You will also want to get a better grasp on your finances. Remember, you can learn of their mistakes. There are lots of financial fees that you may not realize, such as licensing, employee benefits, and travel expenses. You may want to seek out the advice of others who run their business sin the community so that you can get an idea of how much the business is going to initially cost you. They also may be able to recommend services to you, such as business plan writing companies who can help you get your ideas onto paper.

Also, make sure that you ask yourself several times if this is really what you want to do. If your excitement for your service or product idea disappears after a week or two, then starting a business based around this idea will probably fail. Make sure that the time and money that you will put in the commitment will help you to see benefits, but also make sure that you are willing to put your time into the business since it could take at least two years before you see success.

When it comes to starting a business you will find that it is never easy. You will also want to keep in mind that the hard work and dedication needed for the business will take some precious time away from other aspects of your life. So many ideas or businesses fail before they even give it a chance. You should start your business if only you have carefully seen all of the advantages and disadvantages of owning your own business.

starting a business for the first time

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

If you are starting a business for the first time, you may forget to include all of the little supply needs in your start up budget. You will want to look at the things that you will need for a project or just overall. You will find that there are tons of reasons for you to want to consider the little things. Things like not having a clock in a rental space could mean all the difference when trying to rent out an office. You will want to make sure that you are prepared for even the smallest things. Even if your place looks good, but you don’t have anything that you need like a paper clip or a pen to write in appointments, then what is the use of having a beautiful space? The small things count!

Office supplies are a need for any business. Whether you spend lots of time in the office or not, you need pens, paper, stamps, paperclips, tape, envelopes, pencils, and sticky notes if you wish to run a successful business. You will have to learn to budget for even the small items. If you use lots of a certain item (pens, for example), it may be most beneficial to buy these items in bulk. Also, take advantage of the catalogs that offer discount rates for a order over a certain amount so that you can be prepared for future use, and also get a discount and save a lot of money.

There are some supplies that you will need in the office more than others, and you will want to make sure that you don’t overlook anything. For example, will you have employees? If so, will they be required to wear uniforms? You will most likely want to provide these uniforms to ensure that everyone’s dress is the same, but this means you must be prepared for future employees who may be of many shapes and sizes. For those who work in food service, you might want to remind yourself about the sanitary supplies like gloves, hairnets, or hats.

Also, don’t forget those supplies that you need to keep your business and the building functional. Your bathroom must be stocked with toilet paper, for example, even if the only ones who use it are employees. Don’t forget the cleaning supplies to get the place clean and stay clean and think about trashcans for every room.

Before you give your business plan a thoughtful budget, you will want to make sure that you set aside some money for you to get those miscellaneous items that you’ll need. Also, think about all those little things that you will forget. Make sure that on the second day that you’ll have plenty of money for you to get all those things that you might have missed. You will also want to think about setting more money aside so that you can have some profit at the end of your first month if you don’t end up spending all of the money. You should also think about purchasing some items a little bit at a time so that you can help get your business up and running.

Ideas for Home Based Business Entrepreneurs

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

How can you establish a business without leaving the comforts of your home and do so with just a small capital? The answer is simple and it’s right in front of you. Think for everyone else. Act for everyone else. If they can’t do it, do it for them.

But how would you do it? To know the specifics, take time to attend seminars and workshops for more information and how to gather tips on starting a business. If you don’t want to spend your money on the first suggestion, there’s always an alternative. You could drop by the library within your community and read books regarding management and business. Well at least, that’s free. You just have to be part of the community. Or better yet, use the internet for various researches.

Home based entrepreneurs benefit vastly on having their business right at their doorstep. It extinguishes the agony and trouble of being stuck in heavy traffic and being late. Travel time would take at least thirty seconds from your bedroom to your home office. No dress code required.

You could come to your office on your pajamas, no one cares, and you’re the boss. Family time is not compromised. You are the boss of your own company. Best of all, self-discipline is practiced.

Here are 3 of the best suggestions for gearing up your home business:

1. Garage Sale – “the old and perhaps the new”

Sure you have clothes that are used only once. Those that your mother gave you when you were three but you wore them only once cause you never liked it. Remember? That’s right. Sell it on Monday.

Sign board announcement: Kid’s stuff on sale!
Your husband loves sports but that was 5 years ago. Again, sell it on Tuesday. Hunt down those baseball cards and sports gears he kept in his closet.

Sign board announcement: Sports stuff on sale!
Now are you having a clearer picture of what I’m trying to paint? You could sell different kinds of stuff on different days. That would make your garage a bit more interesting.

2. Food for Thought – “Sweet. Spicy. Sour.”

Cooking can be very consuming. But if your hands were made for it, then try the catering business. Supply food for gatherings like parties, anniversaries, meetings, etc. If you’re also good with pastries, then convert your garage or a part of your house into a mini café.

Set up a relaxing ambience that would suit and entice customers to hang around. Give them a reason to stay. A good cup of coffee, light music, and a satisfying bite of their favorite blueberry cheesecake would definitely work up an appetite to keep them coming back for more.

3. Clean it, Scrub it – “From top to bottom”

Having an obsessive-compulsive type of personality can be an advantage and it can be put into good use. Aside from imposing cleanliness within your own vicinity, other people’s house might need it as well. In a generation where time is of the essence, workaholics fail to maintain an organized environment.

That’s where you come in. Advertise your services to those people who badly need grooming. Emphasize that when the environment is healthy, the client is healthy as well.

Are thoughts rushing in? From my point of view, the percent of failure depends on the time when you say “no” or ‘it’s not possible” to realizing that it is.

Cardiff Bookkeeping With Better Bookkeeping

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

The question that I am always asked by people prior to becoming my client is, “Why do I need a bookkeeper when I already have an accountant?”

As I always say, regular bookkeeping is essential to provide your business with sound financial information and clients see very quickly how it becomes an essential component of their business practices.

If you are the type of business that only makes the annual visit to your accountant to learn of the state of your finances, a regular bookkeeping service can become invaluable so that you have regular knowledge of the state of your cash flow, creditors, debtors and likely tax liability due.  With this information you can then act a lot quicker and put a plan in place to resolve any issues before things spiral out of control.

This style of financial management is vital given the current state of the economy and for the ongoing success of your business and any such business should consider such a system.

Employing a bookkeeper will free up your time to develop your business further, to concentrate on getting more customers and will also allow you the time to ensure that your current customer needs are met.

The work of a Bookkeeper is not only respected by business owners but also by firms of Accountants who know they are working from an accurate set of figures.

The advantage for you is your Accountant has to spend less time verifying the figures which should inevitably mean a reduction in your annual Accountancy fee.
